What are the service fees?
Rover exists to make it easier to have a dog in your life. They do this by providing an innovative and secure platform, offering 24/7 customer support, and building better tools. Service fees allow Rover to operate and continually make improvements based on the needs of their growing community. They also cover the Rover Guarantee, a reimbursement program primarily intended to protect pets
Is Rover free?
It's free to sign up for a Rover account as a pet parent. If you want to offer pet care services on Rover, there is a $35 profile review fee. Once you begin earning money by providing sitting or walking services to Rover pet parents, you'll take home 80% of your earnings from each booking*.
What's the difference between a pet review and pet notes?
- A pet review allows you to share feedback with Rover Support about a specific pet you cared for during a stay. This allows them to reference a pet's history to ensure a safe pet sitting experience on Rover for sitters and their client's pets.
- Pet reviews are not viewable to you, your client, or other sitters. Once you submit a pet review, you will only be able to see the star rating. The written portion will only be visible to the Rover Support team.
- Pet notes are a great resource for sitters who want to keep a record of information about a pet that they can reference later. Pet notes are only available to you, and you can reference them at any time from the pet's profile.
What's an Extended Care rate?
- The Extended Care rate is a rate that Rover automatically applies to house sitting and dog boarding stays if the pick-up time is significantly later than your client’s drop-off time. This ensures that you’re compensated for the additional time.
- You and your client can view the Extended Care rate in the booking details. Pet owners can also view this from the Rates section of your profile.
