Are there any fees associated with invoice payments?

Neat offers the ability to accept online payments through the Invoicing feature. In order to accept online payments through Neat, you (the merchant) must agree to the following transaction processing fees. Fees will only be deducted for successful payments.

How do I manually record a payment in Neat?

Neat allows you to accept all types of payments for your invoices in Neat. Take advantage of online payments and accept credit card and bank payments directly through your Neat invoices. Manually mark your invoices as partially paid or paid when your customers use another payment method like check or cash.

What happens after the trial is over?

When your trial ends, your Neat account will automatically convert to the plan that you decided to trial for the 14-day period. At the time of conversion is when the credit card that was used to sign up will be charged.

Do I need a credit card for the free trial?

Yes, a credit card is necessary when signing up for a free trial with Neat. After the 14-day trial, you will be charged for your yearly or monthly subscription.

What types of adjustments can I enter?

• Setting or adjusting a starting balance for your chart of accounts categories

• Recording depreciation or amortization of an asset

• Make a category adjustment.

• Make an account balance adjustment.

How do I create a sales tax report?

• First select Reports at the top right hand corner.

• Be sure to click on Sales Tax Report to begin creating your report.

• The next window will ask you to choose between Transactions and Receipts/Mileage. Choose Transactions.

• The next window will allow you to customize your report using various filters including Date, Vendor, Folder, Category, etc. Once your filters are set, click on Next Step.

• Once you click Next Step to finish out your report. Here you can add a Title (a required field), description of your report, notes and comments, select a folder to store your report. You can also group, sort and include images in your report. Once complete, you can click Create to have your report created.

My report is taking a long time to generate, is something wrong?

If your report is taking a long time to generate, then it is probably because you chose to include images in your report. Reports will take a longer time to generate if images are included because behind the scenes, the Neat Cloud has to build out your report, locate all the images, resize the images if needed and then generate them on your report. If your report is taking a long time to generate, then they recommend closing the report and re-opening it. Reports are not refreshed in the item report view, so you need to close the report and re-open it for it to refresh.
